An attorney for the spine surgery patient in Alaska whose surgeon took pictures of his genitals while he was under anesthesia shared this statement: When patients are under general anesthesia, they're at their most vulnerable. The outcome for the above case would have been different if the man had a personal advocate such as his wife present. He also should have been allowed to wear underwear. Patients under general anesthesia cannot speak up.
